Reorganisation of the interchange · Sèvres (Hauts-de-Seine), near Paris
Footbridges, stairs and a tunnel that connect people on foot and by bike across a major interchange.
The redesign of the interchange in front of the Manufacture de Sèvres, a heritage building. The traffic is brought down to ground level, which makes room for safe pedestrian crossings, a cycle network, a garden and new public spaces, linked by footbridges, stairs and a tunnel. Special attention was given to the heritage garden and to the furniture and lighting, which were subject to approval by the State heritage architect (Architecte des Bâtiments de France-ABF).
