The programme
- A leisure park, an animal park and an ecological park
- 2 restaurants, 5 shops, 6 kiosks, a visitor reception building and toilets
- Night shelters for the animals (buildings and interior fittings) and outdoor environments (enclosures, enrichment, ground and landscapes)
The concept
Fresh water occurs naturally in the ground under the park. It gives the whole site a strong landscape unity, through a large-scale network of water. It shapes the atmosphere and the functions of the park, and it keeps visitors cooler. The old, run-down buildings are replaced by themed architecture inspired by the seven voyages of Sinbad the Sailor.
Mission of the team
Winning competition entry, then design studies and partial project management for the new Sindibad parks.
Mission of Signes Archi
- Architecture of all the buildings of the park (1,370 m²): restaurants, shops, kiosks, the visitor reception building and the animal exhibits
- Theme-park architecture: a themed design for each building, inspired by the seven voyages of Sinbad the Sailor and by the architecture and landscapes of Africa
